18/06/2011 22:28

This past Saturday night, over 19,000 fans jampacked the O2 Arena in London, England for CWW's Road to the Throne Pay Per View. 12 matches took place at the event & 6 championships were on the line.

Here are the results of each match with a recap:

- Pauly Payne defeated Shane Johnson

In the event's opening bout, 2 of Revolution's young guns went 1 on 1 in a heated grudge match. The match could have gone either way, but Pauly Payne relied on great ring awareness to move out of the way at the last second of a Dragon Splash from Shane Johnson. Pauly then draped his arm over Shane for the 2 count & the victory. After the match however, Pauly took a hot cup of coffee & a cold bottle of water into the ring, then he proceeded to pour the hot coffee all over Shane's body, then poured some of the water over Shane's body as well.

- Michelle Adams defeated Kelly to become the final ever CWW Vixen's Champion

Both women put on an amazing match for the fans in London, knowing that this would be the last time for a fair while that they will be able to go at it in the ring, as the Vixen's Division was euthanised & the Vixen's Championship was being considered defunct. Both vixens pulled out all the stops, but in the end, Michelle connected with a 2nd U.G.L.Y to score the winning pinfall & to be crowned the final Vixen's Champion.

- Lionel Deathshot defeated Thorn in a Loser Leaves War Last Man Standing Match

In a brutal match with a shocking ending, Lionel Deathshot defeated Thorn in a Last Man Standing Match, with the loser having to leave the War brand. Both brothers used steel chairs, tables & the steel steps to brutalize each other, but nothing seemed to work. In the final moments, when Thorn was looking to end the match, Revolution's resident gargantuan The Assassin attacked Thorn & hit him with a double handed chokeslam off the stage through several tables & electrical equipment. Thorn could not answer the 10 count, thus Lionel was declared the winner.

- Casey Anomaly defeated Sammy Steel in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match to retain the CWW Global Championship

Casey Anomaly proved why he really is The Nightmare Among Men by soundly defeating Sammy Steel in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match to retain his CWW Global Championship.

- Hardcore Pulveriser defeated Josh Polson

This match was almost a one-sided affair, as Pulveriser brutalized Josh before the bell even rang & further injured Josh's ribs with the steel steps & a Pulveriser Bomb on the concrete floor. Josh was taken away on a stretcher & Pulveriser flapped his gums about it, until Josh somehow made it back, despite coughing up blood & his ribs badly injured. Josh even nearly had the match won when he hit a spike tornado DDT off the top rope, but it didn't work for him. As Josh went to deliver Last Rights, a distraction from Danielle & both feet in the mid-section on the way down sealed Josh's fate, who ended up tapping out to a torture rack from Pulveriser. After the match, Pulveriser struck Josh with a sledgehammer right into the injured ribs. EMTs helped Josh to the back as Pulveriser & Danielle laughed & smirked at what had happened.

- Harry Jones defeated Kevin Irvine via Count-Out

Harry Jones really hit an all-time low on Revolution this past Wednesday, but he sunk even lower at Road to the Throne. All to gain a count-out victory over Kevin Irvine. The match between the 2 was hotly contested & Danny D even made a return by striking Kevin with a steel chair to the head & hit him with the Motor City Destroyer, but Kevin wouldn't stay down. Kevin fought back & hit Harry with The Irvine Drop, but Harry wisely rolled to the outside. But he sunk to that low when he grabbed Kevin's son by the scruff of his shirt & threatened to hurt the boy, unless Kevin got himself counted out. Kevin exited the ring, but then Harry hit a Buzaiku Knee Kick to Kevin & rolled into the ring to take the count-out victory.

- Criss Menace defeated Omega in a Steel Cage Match to retain the CWW Cage Championship

In a very brutal cage match, Criss Menace managed to retain the Cage Championship against a tough opponent in Omega. Either man could have won, but it took Criss hitting The Epidemic off the top rope to win the match & retain the championship.

- Peste & Guerra defeated Top Shelf Talent in a Ladder to become the new CWW Undisputed Tag Team Champions

The dominance by Top Shelf Talent over the tag team division is officially over. The team of Peste & Guerra, representing The Mexican Mafia, have dethroned Top Shelf Talent to become the brand new CWW Undisputed Tag Team Champions. Hambre played a bit of a role in the title change, but being that it was a Ladder Match, it was 100% legal. It took a triple powerbomb on Gibson through one table & a splash off the top of a 15 foot ladder on Derek through another by Peste that sealed the win for Peste & Guerra, as they have brought the tag team gold to The Mexican Mafia.

- Angel Rodriguez defeated Craig Owens to win the Road to the Throne Tournament

Angel Rodriguez continued the success of The Mexican Mafia by defeating "The World Renowned" Craig Owens in the Finals of the Road to the Throne Tournament. Angel didn't do it alone however, as he had the rest of The Mexican Mafia at ringside with him to help him. Thye were neutralized by Craig, but they proved enough distraction for Angel to drill Craig with the El Nino Planter & score the victory. As per the victory in the Road to the Throne tournament, Angel has become the #1 Contender to the Revolution Heavyweight Championship at Tribute to the Troops.

- Mark "Razor" Jones defeated Chris James, Jordan Chase & Calvin Hobbs in a Fatal 4 Way Match to retain the CWW Championship

Mark Jones has continued his reign as the top dog on War by retaining his CWW Championship against 3 of War's best superstars in Chris James, Jordan Chase & Calvin Hobbs. The action was fast-paced & any of the 4 could have brought home the gold, but the champ pulled out the victory by making Chris tap out to The Inevitable Clamp.

- Dan Maskell defeated Surge in a No Holds Barred Match to retain the Revolution Heavyweight Championship

In what was a very brutal match between the 2 top dogs on Revolution, the champion Dan Maskell managed to just barely defeat Surge to retain the Revolution Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Dan got on the mic & challenged Jake Lyndon to a match for the title, knowing full well that Jake wasn't even present at the event.

- Hardcore Demon defeated Brock in a 60 Minute Ironman Match (3 Falls to 2)

The last match of the night was arguably the most anticipated match in CWW history. Legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer provided the introductions for the match. Both combatants threw heavy hits at one another in the early going, but the match had gone a whole 16 minutes without a fall, until Demon countered a Tombstone attempt with a Tombstone of his own for the first fall. Brock gained the next fall just over 5 minutes later with 3 consecutive Tombstones. Brock gained the next fall after another 12 minutes when he connected with 2 consecutive Dominators to take the lead 2-1. Demon fought back & evened the match at 2-2 with just over 10 minutes left in the match. Brock would then lock Demon in the Dead End Triangle Choke & had it locked in for at least 5 minutes, but Demon wouldn't give up another fall. After Demon managed to break the hold, both men began trading punches with under 2 minutes remaining, until Brock nailed Demon with a spear. Brock attempted a roll-up pin, but Demon caught him & locked in the dreaded Demonic Vice with 90 seconds remaining. Brock eventually gave it up & tapped out with just 5 seconds left in the match & Demon was announced the winner 3-2. After the match, both men were absolutely exhausted, beaten down & lifeless. They eventually recovered & they shook hands, with Brock saying "I needed to know, & I found out", which was a great moment to end perhaps the greatest match in CWW history & cap off yet another amazing CWW Pay Per View.
